From Athol center, the most direct way runs through South Royalston:
- Head north out of town on Chestnut Hill Avenue, which becomes Athol Road.
- Bear right onto South Royalston Road (Route 68), then turn left onto Brown Road.
- Brown Road becomes Winchendon Road and then River Street as you come into Winchendon.
- At Front Street, bear left onto Spring Street and follow it about two miles. Bud Barn is the red barn next to Little Anthony’s.
It’s about 17 miles, usually around 29 minutes. If you’d rather stay on bigger roads, Route 2 east to Route 140 north is another option.
When you get here
Parking is free in our lot, including accessible spaces by the entrance. The Rail Trail runs just behind us.
Making the trip from Athol
- Order before you leave. With about half an hour of driving, your order will be ready well before you arrive.
- Sundays close at 6pm, so aim to leave Athol by about 5:15.
- Bring cash or debit and a valid photo ID showing you’re 21 or older.
